KazanMall roof reconstruction

Reconstruction of the KazanMall shopping center roof at 91 Pavlyukhina St., Kazan.

Challenge:
Create additional all-season leasable area
Cover the accessible roof in a way that fits the property’s design and logistics
Create a striking new urban space of over 5,000 sq m
Solution:
A combined enclosure of translucent shell and monolithic structure was designed
Acoustics, drainage, shading and subsequent construction works were considered
Zoning and vertical circulation were revised
The site plan and landscaping were updated to current standards
The original character was enhanced with a striking interior
